Geared up and ready to go? How about joining all the bikers near and far at the annual Roar to the Shore Bikers Weekend in Wildwood, New Jersey. This small beach town in Cape May County is taken over by an endless sea of motorcycles rolling in; filling the air with the sounds of purring engines.

Although I am not a biker myself, I found myself enjoying the festivities. I became convinced I should invest in a leather jacket and a bike to show up on next year. This outdoor event is FREE and open to everyone.
The event is jam packed with music and vendors that are on display throughout the day. You can head over to the stage area and rock out to the Battle of the Biker’s Bands or you can shop the aisles for your next bike or leather jacket. If you are a fan of Xtreme sports, then head over to the stunt show. There are multiple showings throughout the day so there are plenty of times to catch it amidst the other amazing festivities. Unfortunately if it’s a windy day the show will be cancelled so make sure you check the weather.
My companion and I decided to take a walk down biker lane. We got to sit on a couple of bikes (and dream), try on some Kevlar jackets, and even check out some Captain Morgan infused cigars (Mmmm tasty). The vendors had a vast selection of quality products for any beginner or seasoned biker to deck out their rides and amp up their gear.
Then, we wondered over to the stage area where the bands were rocking out. Everyone was up dancing and the band was raging all day long. They stuck to the classic rock genre, which is my personal favorite. Then after wearing ourselves out from dancing we hit the some delicious grub to keep the juices going.

When the festival comes to a close for the day the party is far from over. You can head to any of the local bars and find more biker band jams, join some hotel parties or join bikers on the streets showing off their favorite toys.
Overall it’s a fun-filled and cheap day out. This event happens every year around the second weekend in September so make sure you book your hotel or accommodation early because they do fill up fast.
